Safeview developed these systems post 9/11 to see objects under clothing. They were first used to keep bomb carrying terrorists out of Baghdad during the Iraq War. I designed and optimized the light and stiff RF scan arms. They have a long column of die-cast Tx/Rx antenna modules, a radio chirp is sent down the array and the strongest reflected signal is received on one of the digital locations as a bright blob at a unique time the cylinder. The MUX sends it to a fast computer for reassembly into a 3D image. It is a big fast scan and we don’t want to blur the image!
The checkpoint to the bottom left includes explosives and metal detection as well as imaging.
