You really can’t design your way out of bad architecture and trying to wastes a lot of effort, yet so many projects are focused on saving something that is shouldn’t be. I can help decide when it is time to re-architect with practical solutions that end up saving time.

Experience
Depth in a wide range, initially a teen foundryman working in a family business I saw lots of ways to make something new and learned to wear lots of hats. Then to engineering the highest tech optical semiconductor capital equipment, with fast servo motors and air bearings, and on to life sciences, defense, and telecom, I have probably seen the problems that you want to solve.
What units do you use? mils, thou, microns, tenths, angstroms, gigs, tons, newtons?
The last submillimeter mechanisms I designed had 100um features.
